The poster, created with David Larson, announced the 1985 exhibit and sale of ethnographic art and artifacts from the Amazon River Basin. The exhibit was staged on the seventh floor of Macys, San Francisco.
After graduating from Parsons School of Design, I spent several years in sales promotion. Like so many other artists of my generation, I found the scale and immediacy of the retail environment more stimulating. For 20 years I created display windows, special events and exhibits for Macys, both in New York and California. Today, I live in San Francisco and pursue self-defined challenges and assist entrepreneurs with image and sales promotion projects. Both photography and illustration have played a major role in my work. I have been dissatisfied with the limits placed on photography as a design medium, particularly in its exhibit in galleries and interiors.
