Artist's Description

The age of this magnificent live oak is estimated to be over 1,400 years old, possibly the oldest living thing east of the Rocky Mtns. It is located on John's Island, SC. Ferns, called Resurrection Ferns, grow on the limbs, turning brown until a good rain. Then, they turn green quickly, likened to the story of the Resurrection of Jesus!
