I watched this juvenile male Sparrowhawk for hours in a hide in Scotland. I have never before been able to spend such a long period of time watching this very elusive and shy species of hawk. This particular juvenile was an inexperienced hunter and was fixated on chasing the small woodland birds near to the hide. His feathers got wet in the light rain on the day and he took time out to perch up and spread them like a cloak to dry off. A bit like Batman on top of a Gotham City Building!
