The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.

BELOW IS WHAT IS WRITTEN NEXT TO THIS WALL.
Embedded here is the west face of a section of a Colonial-era wall discovered in 2005 during the excavation for this station. This installation is intended to recreate the actual experience of the discovery. This section of the battery, an 18th-century fortification defending the Hudson and East Rivers, was found at this depth approximately 500 feet away.
The aerial view at left identifies it's original location. When this section of the Wall was built around 1755, it cut throughh an earlier wooden structure, possible the remains of an old pier or dock. Rob Hans was born in New York City in 1967. As one of five children, he grew up in a typical family environment. He enjoyed playing sports, and had an early appreciation for music although he barely played any musical instruments. His musical tastes range from the classics of the '50s to heavy metal, with a little bit of everything else in between. As a young man, he was a volunteer firefighter for over 7 years and then joined the U.S. Navy and was home-ported in Japan and San Diego. Rob has been to 18 countries and more than 40 U.S. States. Rob is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War and is a life member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. Rob was Commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky in June of 2020 for his life's work...
