Reading Matthew 5:1-12 (Sermon on the Mount), I am struck by the fact that Jesus didn’t actually preach this list of blessings to the larger crowd. Instead, he traveled to higher ground and sat, waiting for his disciples to come to him. Only then did he teach them. Perhaps our most profound truths are learned in the struggle.

Painfully shy as a child, Jen was unable to communicate with anyone outside her family except through drawing. Visual language was her first language and she never lost her passion for its ability to communicate for her. There was never a day she "decided" to become an artist. For Jen, there was just no other way to be. Jen Norton is a graduate of Santa Clara University where she earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Art, with a Minor in Business.
