Description
Hawaiian hula is a distillation of the beauty of the Hawaiian people, the Islands and story it tells. One of most moving forms of dance, each hula tells a story of one or more of many aspects of Hawaiian life, deep love, broken hearts, the respect or love for the natural world or the journeys made by across the vast Pacific. Children are taught dances that have been passed down for hundreds of years. Of all the forms of dance I have seen in many places in the world, hula moves me the most. It is the highest form of dance theatre and always is presented with deep love and aloha.
