Description
"Showered with the Light of His Creation"--a work inspired by Chris Flees' strikingly beautiful photograph of a blue pigeon called a Nicobar Pigeon! He describes it as "...a truly beautiful bird that has a very interesting emerald green patterning on its wings". In the background of this painting, I wanted to mimic the way that light refracts when the sun hits it, so I painted circles of light that look, also, like raindrops with the sunlight reflected in them! In keeping with the ultimate goal to glorify God, I tried to imbue this work with a spiritual quality and light! I would like to share this verse taken from the bible from the book of Revelation 5:13 and inspired from Psalm 8!
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying
Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
Psalm 8:1
1 O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
All of God's creatures, or creation, should give glory and honor to Him on the Most High; hence, the title for this "The Birds in the Heavens Glorify Your Name"! May this work inspire with the Light of His Love!
Background Info about Chris Flees:
Chris began pursuing his passion for photography at the early age of 13! For going on nearly 30 years now, he has been in search of that perfect image! His subjects are about life and nature! His overall mission in that pursuit is, ultimately, to glorify all that is from God, or "God's gifts", as he puts it!
