Description
I did a number of paintings in watercolor of this very quaint storybook-like Bed & Breakfast in Carmel, California. I found this larg earthen urn that was planted with blooming color flowers. I had to work extra careful to preserve the shadow details along with the highlights from the morning sun that was streaming into the garden courtyard.

Just a beautiful piece of art work, David! Love the coloring of the vase and how it seems to stem outward onto the ongoing walkway! The flowers are gorgeous too, with the lattice and the building in the background! Wow! Superbly done on this watercolor! If I didn't know, it looks like an excellent photo! Great job on displaying your talents here, David!

Randy, I appreciate that you took notice of this painting. The pottery urn was a particular challenge and the deep purple petunias gave me some trouble. Hard color to capture.
