Description
The most exciting, happiest day of a girl's life is the day she marries her true love. Walking down the aisle, seeing him standing before her with a loving smile on his face is something a girl looks forward to her whole life, and a day she'll never forget. The little things that make up the day can take on great importance ... from the choosing of the dress to the choosing of the colors for the bouquet. Traditionally, the red rose is the symbol of love ... the white rose signifies purity, innocence, sympathy, and spirituality.
Here we see the lovely bouquet carefully left on the bride's chair waiting for that moment when it's tossed in the air and caught by a single young lady in the room who, tradition holds, will be the next bride to walk down the aisle. Draped over the back of the chair is the bride's magnificent veil, and next to the flowers can be seen her lovely beaded bag. Each piece part of the whole that helps complete a day that brings together two hearts and two families.
Image painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely sketched from one of my own photos captured in Montgomery County, Maryland using Corel Painter, a Wacom tablet and stylus.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Lois!! Really and truly lovely. Particularly wonderful is the veil over the side of the chair ... where the translucence allow that pretty chair to be seen. The white and red flowers and the beaded purse takes the viewer into the bridal party and part of the day. Congrats on your feature in the Gallery Wall! :-) Maggie
