The Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas. The museum, designed by the local firm Verner Johnson, opened in 2001. It is named after onetime Texas Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock, who championed its creation. The 35-foot-high bronze star outside the museum reflects Texans' pride in the Lone Star State's colorful history.
