Pennsylvanian artist Meaghan Troup creates visual escapes using palette knives and oil paints on canvas. She received her BFA with honors from Roberts Wesleyan College, where she spent a semester abroad at Oxford University studying Renaissance art and architecture. Described as simultaneously vivid and peaceful, Meaghan’s paintings include colors that reflect the vitality of life, textures that communicate the physicality of nature, and strong lines with open spaces that evoke a sense of freedom and hope. These qualities originate from her deep faith in God and a three-year battle with leukemia as a teenager - an experience that taught her to see the beauty in life regardless of circumstances.
