Surprisingly quick response and delivery time . The customizing process was easy to figure out , and the bag was exactly as i had ordered it . It's perfect to carry around my sketch pad and pencils or framed art work . The fabric is heavy weight , and the handle is sturdy and well attached . Good overall construction and the image quality is bright and clear .

Received this lovely tote. The image printed beautifully on the fabric. I ordered the small 13x13 size and find it attractive and handy for carrying odds and ends. I'm looking forward to showing it off.

Ordered this in the generous large size. It is beautiful, very dynamic. Am very happy with the quality of the image and the bag itself.

I ordered this tote bag for myself and I love it. The colors are vivid and crisp. The fabric and handles are sturdy. I have already gotten several complements from others as I run my errands. They ask where I got it and I direct them to your website and give them the artist’s name. Glad I bought it.

Artist's Description

"The Cowboys" was one of the few times Duke was killed in a movie. The 1971 production was shot in three locations in New Mexico, in the same general vicinity as this church. The San Francisco Church in the ghost town of Golden, New Mexico was built in 1830, years before the territory became part of the US. "The Cowboys" was largely shot on the San Cristobal ranch near Santa Fe and Los Cerrillos under the direction of stage trained New Yorker Mark Rydell. Only Actor's Studio personnel were hired. Duke did not have his usual drinking buddies/cronies working with him. This photo of the church was taken in January 1972. The adobe structure was built in 1830 of adobe and restored in the 1960's. The area was first inhabited more than 1,500 years ago. @2009 David Lee Guss Film homage, The Cowboys, 1972, San Francisco church, ghost town, Golden, New Mexico, 1972

About David Lee Guss

I first became obsessed with photography and motion pictures while growing up in post WW2 Manila in the Philippine Islands in the late 1940's/early 1950's. Film noirs were a particular influence. In 1979 I earned a MA in drama from the University of Arizona; earlier getting a BA in English from the University of Minnesota, where I co-founded the first film society on campus and ran it for four years. While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
