Throughout my life I have, from time to time, become accutely aware of the steady unravelling of my values and perceptions. It is a time of confusion, a sense of being overwhelmed by the world, and has the potential to destroy me. However these extremities are very rare, sometimes its just mild disillusionment that can cause me to question everything. I wanted to reflect how this process feels to me, and how intense it can be. Primary colors on white background leave me feeling incredibly stimulated and uplifted, and painting this gave me a true sense of catharsis.

I have been painting and drawing since the age of 5. I have a DipFe in fine art through the London Guild Hall University 1993-1995, and a BSC Honours in Psychology. My original paintings each represent those moments in life when some clarity and understanding for what we are experiencing cannot be found in words, or other people, but in the deep silence of our inner selves. The completion of a painting is a magical time for me, where all the questions, the confusion and the many emotions that are experienced seem to make sense and are somehow encapsulated in this piece of art.
