I have very vivid dreams, and I have several animals that reoccure in my dreams. The dream horse is one such animal. In my dreams I have a white horse that shows up to rescue me from dangerous or evil threats. She is the same exact horse each time, and she has a name. In my dream journal, I had drawn a picture of her and decided that I'd like to paint her. I added the metalic enamel ribbons and swirls to indicate that this is not a common moment, it's a moment that only exists in dreamtime. The color bands also bring energy and movement to the picture making it alive, rather than just static. The black background represents the night, and absence of light and knowlege, where the Dream Horse seems to bring a glowing light of help and wisdom into the darkness of fear, the subconscious, and the unknown.
