This is beautiful Mary, it reminds me of the old English landscape painters who painted them because they loved their countryside and light. It's stunning :-)

Mary Machare replied:

Thank you, Constance. That part of Wisconsin is very beautiful with its rolling hills, pastures and woods.

I hope you can come to Oregon someday Mary... and if you do and want any tips on where to go and when, I would be more than happy to point you in the right direction. :-)

Mary Machare replied:

Thank you, Nick! I hope to be able to take you up on your offer! Just have to find the right combination of time and money ;-)

I have a couple of contacts on my flickr photo sharing site that are from the great state of Wisconsin and I enjoy their images very much. Now I have three contacts and I will even enjoy looking at more beautiful landscapes from your state. :-) I love this scene and the rural feel to it and the vast expanse of woodlands and farm land. Thanks for sharing it Mary.. :-) F/V

Mary Machare replied:

Thank you, Nick, for your kind comments. The areas that the glaciers missed are very beautiful, with hills and unusual rock formations. Your own state of Oregon is as well. Your photos are spurring me to take a trip to see the places you capture in your state.

I love the way the patches of trees line up in this photograph. There is nice balance between the trees, the landscape, and the white house. The processing and texture is perfect too. Fav/Vote
