Anchored at Hoskin's Creek in Tappahannock, VA, the Captain Thomas was built in Callao, VA in 1969. The morning I took this picture, there was no breeze at all, the sky the most incredible shade of blue which reflected in the water beautifully. I was captivated by how the water was so still and the reflections of the boats and silos in the back were mirrored on the glass-like surface.
The silos are part of the Perdue grain storage facility which ships over 8 million bushels a year of barley, soft red wheat, yellow corn, soy, sorghum and high oil corn.
