I just saw your response. The Rainbow Tribe are the remnants of hippydom who spend their time traveling to and camping in national and state forests and parks. They are generally a very peaceful group of young filthy ragamuffins. They get by on the kindness of strangers. I don't regret having given them food, but they are very successful at seeking handouts and someone else would have greater needs.

John Alexander replied:

Ah... I think I understand your meaning quite clearly my friend. There are those who choose the way of the freeloader, and those who are forced to endure hardship. If I had one of each before me seeking aid, which one do you think I would choose to assist? As always, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts my friend.

Remarkable work! LFT and following!

John Alexander replied:

Thank you so much Theresa. I really appreciate the support!

This is great John

John Alexander replied:

Thank you so much Denise... I am glad you like it.

I am so sick and tired of our wealthy and pampered politicians. It is truly sad to watch the decline of our great nation because of the greed of this small. worthless bunch of individuals. The concept of patriotism has become completely lost to them. I`m equally as sick of our various news medias spewing out their own opinionated poisons. They treat the public as if we were a herd of gullible and naive sheep. When it finally catches up with them, we are all going to take a bite in the ass....another gold medal bro...l.v.f.

John Alexander replied:

I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you my friend!

Bravo John! Your artwork is featured in Mutamea - My Change.

Real Art... real message, great description though the sadness in this image almost makes the viewer want to cry... very well done John. Power back to the people.

John Alexander replied:

Thank you so much Chas... I truly appreciate it. Yes! Power back to the people!

Thanks for explaining, John. The US Chamber of Commerce recommends that US employers send jobs out of this country. Such patriotism. I think that the vast majority are homeless through no fault of their own, but I won't buy food for the Rainbow Tribe again because of the van full of food I saw a group of them begging from. I'm glad to be generous when they need to have food but some few folks really stretch my credulity and unfortunately support the misconception of the high rollin' Welfare Queen. (The Tribe are voluntarily homeless.) l, f, WHAT?

John Alexander replied:

I appreciate the comment my friend. I am unfamiliar with the Rainbow Tribe. Sounds like a dubious lot by your description. The 'high rollin welfare queens' do exist... although not for the reasons the media promotes. The high rolling welfare queens I have seen from the terrible neighborhoods I have been a part of have been a result of welfare supplemented by drug dealing and other illegal activities. I know that scams are everywhere... there are people willing to trade in integrity to take advantage of whatever systems are in place... but the number of good, honest people falling through the cracks is not something we see advertised. Sad, but true I am afraid.

This is so moving, both the image and the description.

John Alexander replied:

Thank you so much Terry. I truly appreciate the kind words of support.

I originally uploaded this image over a year ago. I had forgotten to include the description... the same one that could be found on my home website (sirjohnsworld.com). Having only now noticed the omission, I figured some of you might like the story behind it. Thank you all for the utterly amazing support. I can't tell you how much your comments have meant to me.

I really like this towel but I bought this as a present for a 6'5 foot tall person and produce came a little smaller than listed. When it arrived the tag said "Bath towel" not a beach towel. Still a very large Boblicious towel and is larger than the normal bath towel.

Gorgeous towel with amazing detail of the photo! Soft feel too! This was a gift for my son, and he loved it!

It was so soft! My fan loved it!

September 27th, 2018

The fabric is soft. Seems absorbent. Bought these to put them in the pool area of our home. Our home name is “Hotel California” and these towels added to the theme wonderfully. I would recommend and buy them again.

Artist's Description

Here in the United States, there is a very real misconception of homeless people. The stereotyped image is that of a jobless drunken man who simply doesn't want to pull his own weight like the rest of us 'decent' people. The media here perpetuates and reinforces such images at every turn. The sad and sorry reality paints a picture far more sad and bleak. As American corporations export jobs at an alarming rate, entire communities become devastated irreversably. Decent paying blue collar factory jobs that were once the backbone of the United States have been replaced with extremely low paying jobs that are more often than not 'part time' or 'temporary' in order to escape paying benefits, insurance, and living wages. All the while we hear about how many new jobs have been created. Not surprisingly, the number of families losing not only their jobs, but their very homes is skyrocketing. Daddys and Mommys take to the cold hard streets with their children in tow... seeking food. Seeking...
