The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This is a graphic adaptation of the enigmatic eyes of Dr. T.J Eckleburg from The Great Gatsby. These disembodied eyes looking out of yellow rimmed spectacles are an often recurring motif in this pathbreaking work of literature by F.Scott Fitzgerald and have been variously interpreted as the all seeing eye of god, conscience, a constant witness and so on. The city skyline of the New York city from the 1920s, can also be seen in the artwork.
This artwork is a collectible for multiple reasons - a love for the roaring 20s and the lifestyle and culture from a bygone era, a fascination for the pursuit of the American Dream, a constant reminder of the all seeing eye and to create an ambiance reminiscent of the golden age.
