The egret is on the lookout for his next meal. Louisiana has an abundance of fisherman, but the egret is probably the most prolific. In this painting, I used rich grays, greens, blues, and violets to paint the swamp with exhuberance. The trees pulse with color and contrast with the deep, dark water.
