I bought the bath towel for my best friend, who is a huge Johnny Mathis fan! She loved it! It was great quality!

March 10th, 2019

One of my favourite paintings - and much nicer than the bare TV screen I bought it to cover when not is use!

February 10th, 2019

The quality of the towel is poor, it's stiff, not fluffy as I would expect from bath towel. Also colours look faded.

I am extremely disappointed by the poor quality of the towels. The color is not the beautiful black to the pictures but a sad gray where we see a lot of white below.

I love this lamprey-picture, very nice material but the colours was a little bit too light. Still, I love this.

Nice material and size, but the whole picture was not put on to the towel, that was a little bit no-good.

Artist's Description

This is the sixth demonstration painting done for "Wind, Waves and Weather" on Thursday June 1st. Everyone arrived around 9 am and I set up to do another sketch based on the style of Tom Thomson. This was supposed to be "Paint like Tom Thomson" day using lots of paint, big brushes and bold strokes. Tom sketched on 8 x 10 1/2 boards so I selected 8 X 10 inch canvases and worked fast. These boats are just a part of the Lake Huron fishing fleet that ties up in the mouth of the Saugeen River. Most of the time these boats did not move during our painting sessions. The odd time one would ship out in the morning and we would have to sketch in the shapes of the ship very quickly - to get the painting ship-shape so to speak. I have heard these described as "beaver-style" fishing boats that are capable of taking the waves of the inland seas. The boats of the fishing fleet were certainly built for functionality. One just needs to have a fillet of fresh fish to find that out. The group liked t...

About Phil Chadwick

Trained at Queens University as a nuclear physicist, Phil the Forecaster has been a professional meteorologist since 1976. Painting has however been his passion forever. For ten years, he studied under the late Mario Airomi, a famous Italian artist. Phil paints what he knows best: weather, nature, canoes and his family. There are not enough hours in the day to record the inspiration that abounds. Phil paints mainly en plein air striving for impressionistic realism. Something intangible and sometimes magical enters the art when one is actually out in the elements surrounded by inspiration. Bold colours and shapes can be found in the natural world if you only look. Phils art hangs in many private and corporate collections around the...
