Description
'Fujikawa' avocados, have medium sized seeds and greenish-yellow flesh with a rich, nutty flavor. In Hawaii, many consider 'Fujikawa' to be superior to California cultivars and believe it should be marketed as a gourmet item. 'Fujikawa' has green skin when ripe, which is a problem where consumers rely on black skin as a sign of ripeness. 15 of these trees are growing in my backyard, here on the Hawaiian island of Molokai, from the seeds of a 90 year old avocado tree.
