Let there be Sore ah for ah for silly ah ta, this mosquito , Phorophora ciliata, packs a big bite that the early Spaniards visit to America called it the Gallon of blood nipper. IDentification marks, large size- pale band from middle to tip of proboscis with short palpi, long dark scales on golden orange legs, trilobed scutellum, pointed abdomen, pre and postspiracular seta present, Scutum with yellow stripe with all dark wings. Measurene grid - 42 for size 8 1/2
I am a Florida snowbird from North Carolina and Minnesota. I enjoyed taking art from both Jacksonville University and University of North Florida., but later majored in science. While volunteering as a Citizen Scientist, my involvement in various fields feeds the source of my artwork inspiration.. I love working with oils, but I had to adapt to transparent acrylics due to Florida'a heat in the summer time. My artwork includes nature, landscapes, seascapes, animals, botanicals and cartoons. Recently I have played with different medias and different themes as steampunk, and 3-D. I am excited about meeting other artists on this website and serving the public.. This is my fifth year displaying my art at art shows and festivals.
