Beautiful Painting!

Thank you Lori. I'm glad you appreciate my father's painting. I sure do miss him!

How great and talented was your father dear Ann, wow, this is amazing!! FV

Cristina, I am still in awe of my father's work. Thank you for your endearing comment.

Anne-Elizabeth this is a great work of art,a very talented artist v/f

Thank you Sharon. He liked to copy from the Masters' works & has done a great Mona Lisa as well ((among others)). Blessings to YOU.

Lovely! Your dad had a natural talent for painting, Anne-Elizabeth! v/f

Thank you Hanne. You are right. He had a natural talent. He kept painting until his late 80's, even with failing health. Miss him dearly.

Anne-Elizabeth, your father was a very smart man - he knew that to become a great painter, you must look at great paintings. His skill was extraordinary, and it is wonderful he passed on his love of painting to you. I love your gallery and your heartfelt descriptions and titles. They speak to my heart.

Thank you Anita. His paintings are all over our house. I am so thankful to have these treasures.

Aloha dearest Anne-Elizabeth, your Father is extraordinarily talented, this is so beautiful.

Thank you Sharon. Yes, he was very talented, always painting with oils on canvas & kept on painting even in his late 80's.

Your dad was an excellent painter Anne, this is awesome. A favorite of mine.

Thank you RICHARD. Your kind words about my father's painting mean a lot to me.

My father did this by copying a picture by Millet in one of his old, tattered art books. Daddy could paint with oils so perfectly, especially landscapes and portraits. Also, as I said before, he liked to copy the work of the Masters from long ago. He just used pictures from books to go by. He did not have any fancy devices, like an enlarger, or anything like that to use. It was just Daddy, the paint, brushes, canvas, picture and the Spirit which led him to do the fine art that he did. He also did many original works. He also liked to paint at the scene (Plein Aire (sp)). Thanks for listening. I miss him and my mother so much...they have both passed on.

Splendid work, your dad is very talented artist.

Teresa, thank you dearly for your kind compliments!!

Thank you all for the comments. Dad passed away 6 years ago, and Mom only 2 months later. He was a good artist and always painted with oils.

This is great!!! Thanks for your very kind comments on my work. Greatly appreciated. JoeRay kelley www.joesfineart.com

Very nicely done this work of yours .Thanks for comment on my painting called" YinKuan Yin".

What a great picture done by your father, one to be cherished forever. You certainly were given his talent for the arts. I also want to thank you for your wonderful comment on my picture. It is truly appreciated.

thanks for comment... your paintings are great...

Thank you. He lives on through his paintings. God bless.

WONDERFUL work that your father did!!! I love this paintiing; it's inspiring to know that your Dad could accomplish this at age 85!

Beautiful work, and from an original by one of my favorite artists, Millet. A print of "The Gleaners" (and also of "The Angelus", of the field workers stopping to pray, also by Millet) was on the walls when I was in grade school.

Anneke, My Dad would be so happy to hear you say that. Thank you so much for your sincere comments. YOUR friend, aew

Hi Anne, your father did a great job on this marvellous painting. Actually I like his style better, it's more free and bright than Millet's painting.

Thank you both. He painted until he was in his late 80's. Sometimes I wonder why I did not watch him paint. I could have learned SO much.

About Acrylic Prints

Mounting Option #1

Mounting Option #2

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of an acrylic print.   Your image gets printed directly onto the back of a 1/4" thick sheet of clear acrylic.

The image is the art - it doesn't get any cleaner than that!

All acrylic prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with four aluminum mounting posts (Option #1) or hanging wire (Option #2).

The high gloss of the acrylic sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

There are two different ways to mount your acrylic print.

Option #1 (Mounting Posts) - Attach your print to your wall with four aluminum mounting posts.   The cylindrical cap of each mounting post can be removed, allowing you to thread a small screw along the center axis of the of post and into the wall.   When you're finished, simply reattached each cap, and you're done.   The mounting posts act as stand-offs and keep your print separated from the wall by 1".   All of the required mounting hardware (i.e. posts, screws, and wall anchors) is included with your print.   Click here for mounting details.

Option #2 (Hanging Wire) - With this option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4" thick black board which has a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back.   There are no metal mounting posts at the corners.   Simply put a nail in your wall, hang your print from the hanging wire, and you're done.   Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.50"   Click here for mounting details.

Stunning artwork. The colors are very vibrant. I get compliments on this piece all the time. I was worried it wouldn’t be as pretty post purchase verses viewing online but this exceeded my expectations!

Where is this? It has not even shipped yet!

September 18th, 2018

Ad said it has a hanging wire, it doesn’t. Has a big chunk of wood glued to the back with a hanging bracket. Acrylic distorts the picture in my opinion.

This rating is for Fine Art America only. Not the artist. I received this print on acrylic. It shows to have a silver back ground, but it was green-ish in real life. That didn't work for me so I needed to send it back. It cost me $32 to have it shipped, but $96....yes, NINETY SIX dollars to have it sent back. Fine Arts could have had a pre-printed label from their corporate account (like Amazon does) for it to be shipped back and then that ($32) amount deducted from my refund. They did not. So, basically I paid $120 to get a product that did not match the print online. Therefore, I will NEVER shop at Fine Art America again AND will warn everyone I know to beware.

I have seen this in person many times. I thought it would be nice to have a picture of it. I am so glad I got this.

Artist's Description

My Pop painted this from a picture in one of his art books. I wish you could see the details . He was 85 years young when he painted this Millet copy. I can have giclee' copies of this made for you if you are interested. The original is not for sale. Giclee's look almost EXACTLY like the original. One can have a giclee' copy done on archival paper or canvas-style giclee' surface. Contact me if you wish to find out more about a giclee'. dnawhiteway@verizon.net ***** Of course the easiest route is to USE FINEARTAMERICA FOR PRINTING YOUR SIZE CHOICE AND CUSTOMIZING...FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A FRAME, AND SO ON.
