Description
A carefree girl is swinging on a wood and rope swing, in the shade of a ginkgo (maidenhair) tree at her grandmother's house in Nebraska, USA. She wears a pink dress, a gift from her grandmother. It has petticoat ruffles on the skirt, puff sleeves, and white lace around a stand collar. Her Mary Jane shoes have sweet bows. Her straw-blond hair is tied up with a mauve bow.
Nancy Lee Moran painted the image with dry, soft pastels in 2000, size 27 x 19 inches.

I am grateful for these childhood memories...which balance...my journey. Thank you Nancy fir this beautiful memory.
Nancy Lee Moran replied:
Laurel, I often reach back to childhood memories of wonder, nature and love - to comfort myself and to keep that part of myself alive. Balance is a good word to describe it, as you wrote.
