Who buys a painting of a goat???? Well it turns out I did, as a gift for my sister who recently lost her beloved Nubian Dam "Drama" ( to some weird goat disease). My sister was SO thrilled with the painting! I don't have a photo of where she hung it but I know it was given a place of honor in her home! Thank you so much to the artist Dottie Draco and to Fine Art America for brokering the painting. Will definitely recommend to friend's and family!

I like this picture very much, it is a little bit small, but fits in the colors exactly to the big painting and my furniture. I have to buy another picture ;-)) I miss the name "Liza Burnaeva" on the back of the picture.

Artist's Description

Per Wikipedia: The tulip is a perennial, bulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, of which around 75 wild species are currently accepted and which belongs to the family Liliaceae. The genus's native range extends west to the Iberian Peninsula, through North Africa to Greece, the Balkans, Turkey, throughout the Levant (Syria, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan) and Iran, North to Ukraine, southern Siberia and Mongolia, and east to the Northwest of China. The tulip's center of diversity is in the Pamir, Hindu Kush, and Tien Shan mountains. It is a typical element of steppe and winter-rain Mediterranean vegetation. A number of species and many hybrid cultivars are grown in gardens, as potted plants, or as cut flowers. Tulips are called lale in Farsi, Turkish, Arabic, and Bulgarian. In Arabic letters, lale is written with the same letters as Allah, which is why the flower became a holy symbol. It was also associated with the House of Osman, resulting in tulips being widely u...

About Sarah Loft

I see art as not only creation, but also (and maybe primarily) as discovery. For the most part I do collage work and photography, but also enjoy pen and marker drawing, some occasional painting as well as more three dimensional work such as making baskets, dolls, and other objects. As you will see if you wander through my galleries, I have a very wide range of interests. Check out my Artist of the Day feature in Today's Visions.com, curated and written by Mark Myhaver. http://galleries.todaysvisions.com/2014/08/13/todays-featured-artist-sarah-loft/ Some of my artwork appears on products sold at Zazzle.
