Shan...I am with you on the subject matter, generally speaking. I didn't choose it, but since I was asked to do it, I gave it my best shot. In the end, I was satisfied with it, and I did try to inject a certain "Hopper" element into the work (He started out painting houses). Absolutely love this print. We converted our formal living room into a music, lounge, study, hang out space for our three tween boys. It’s perfect!

Was looking for a nautical theme print to go with our antique replica of "The Sea Witch". Capt. James Cook was one of the first to make navigational maps! Perfect pairing! We love the quality, the ease of order and the timeliness I which we received him! Thank you and will certainly place more orders......

About Hunter Jay

My art career began in 1964 with drawings of Godzilla in battle with squadrons of fighter jets. Fellow first graders were my early collectors for these scenes of chaos; all free for the asking. The entire process of using the microscope fascinated me; the lens that had two settings, the little rectangular glass slides, even the gray metal box it came in! But of course the best thing was getting a good look into an infinitely tiny magical world. A grain of sugar became a revelation to me. A blade of...
