I call it that because I was born and raised on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, and I return to it whenever I can. This view is on the western side, with the Gulf of St. Lawrence washing against the beaches and headlands of the Cap Rouge area. The Gulf is part of the Atlantic Ocean. The road you can see is the world-famous Cabot Trail, a magnificent scenic drive which encircles the northern part of the island and contains Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
