Eileen Hale replied:

Thanks so much, Van! I'm glad someone reads my descriptions, and thanks for your feedback!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Helena! Horses are totally my favorite; I think they're my inner identity. I will keep your suggestion in mind.

Magali, Kevin and Michelle - thank you for your enthusiastic words! Yes, I am a fan of Chagall, Kevin - and immensely flattered that you see a resemblance to his work! It's not something I'd thought of, or been trying to do, but if I did connect with any of Chagall's flavor and style, that pleases me a lot.

this is a beautiful painting and meaning behind it. great self portrait. great work!

I am overcome with your kindness. I just love this painting... and of course the title reeled me in. Are you a fan of Chagall? I see a bit of him here.

Thanks for joining!, Love your fantasy work...

Thank you so much, Scott! Everyone, if you haven't seen Scott's work, check it out - it's amazing! Beautiful inlaid woodwork, among other things. Yes, Scott, I do write as well as painting. Mostly some poetry - occasional chapbooks - sometimes a lot of journal writing, dreams, and a lot of other miscellaneous stuff including emails, which I tend to enjoy...

Eileen Thanks very much for your kind remarks. I enjoy your work and was most impressed by your verbal skills: "In the country of my work, I don't strive for a single official language, or ethnic purity. I welcome a cast of thousands, immigrants from all over. When all this comes together, the result I see is a vivid aliveness in the painting." This is wonderful imagery. Do you write as well as paint/draw? Scott Reuman

Thank you, Barbara!

No matter what.. you're a talented person and I'm so glad you could join us.. well done!!
