Beautiful portrait of a lovely lady! f/l

Hi Michael, yes she is a wonderful human being, isn't she...just such a kind, loving, gentle and genuine soul! I'm hoping, with her living in the US now, I'll be able to see her from time to time, as I spend about 8 months a year in Mexico, and the other 4 months in the US. I actually met Lulu here in La Paz when she was passing through in Feb this year, and she has become a very dear friend! I know she misses Cape Town a lot, but I think she'll get settled in nicely once she stops moving around so much! Your work is gorgeous, by the way! Take care and say hello to lovely Cape Town for me! I have a sister still living in Somerset West, but hardly ever get back there anymore. Cheers!

Thank you so much, Anne, for your comment! Lucrecia is a dear friend of mine also and what a spirit she is! I am so happy she is safe and sound after her sailing adventure from the North Pole to the Pacific Islands and now married and living in the States...but we sure miss our 'Song Bird' in Cape Town!

Oh my goodness Michael, this is amazing! I just came to view your profile and portfolio because I saw that you were from Cape Town, and I grew up in Somerset West/Strand! This painting caught my eye because she reminded me so much of a dear friend of mine, and when I took a closer look and saw the title, it made me do a double-take, especially when I read the description! No wonder she looked so is my dear friend, Lucrecia 'Lulu' Rodrigues!! Small world!! v/f

I am honored that "The Jazz Singer" was selected to be featured on the home page of the ABC group!

I am honored that "The Jazz Singer" was selected to be featured on the home page of the ACRYLIC Painting Only group!
