This painting is very personal to me. Continuing in my experimentation in mixed media, it is a painting of my mother (now deceased ) and one of her older great-granddaughters.
About Dan Dollahon
Ever since I was a little boy I loved to draw. It was the first thing I remember being recognized for and, as a result, I guess I've been chasing that recognition ever since. In 1989 I graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with an Associate Arts Degree in Visual Communications. Soon after that, I got a job designing trade booths for the oil industry. Ugh. In 1991 my wife and I started our own business, Artistic Interiors by Dollahon Designs, providing faux finishing and murals for residential and commercial spaces. We have worked for various clubs and restaurants as well as Barnes and Noble Book Store but most of our work these days is residential. For the past couple of years I have been working on a series of...
