Photographed at the site of the last great battle of the Second Seminole War. It's amazing how resilient nature is. The only way you would know there was a war is via the history books. This area is filled with cypress trees, wildlife , and lush vegetation. Whatever makeshift shelter and exposed artifacts are long gone.
No sign of bloodshed. No more pain. No scars on the trees to speak of. Nature has skillfully repaired herself once again.
