Description
This is a beautiful example of New England continuous architecture: big house, little house, back house barn. But, the reason I chose to portray it has everything to do with the quality of late sun that is bathing the buildings. Contact: Mast Cove Gallery, Kennebunkport ME if interested.

This painting is amazing. The playfulness of the warm light against the white farm house, how it comes to a concentrated brightness in the corner of the building as the reflected light from the wall we can't see makes for an exciting visual depth. I love your unapologetic use of purples on the white for bringing in the blue sky color into the shadows, breathtaking! The lavendar shadows on the left side of the white house tell me there are trees to the left out of the picture and this must be a wonderful sunset, with dramatic light effects! The contrast of the darkened windows on the white, the white trim of the barn are pleasing. The crimsons and hidden areas in the foreground field make for mystery and totally capture my eye, I just didn't want to leave this composition after I studied it!
