There is something wonderful about this painting eclipsing technical aspects and all that. It tells a story, it holds the viewer, it is what art is meant to be!

David Zimmerman replied:

Thank you James!

I think it is hard to capture believable and consistent light and shadow in a piece. You do both very well in this painting- especially given the duality of the warm and cold light from the windows and the moon.

David Zimmerman replied:

Thank you Aaron. I composed most of this from a variety of elements so it was a difficult piece to conquer. It almost makes me want to attempt it again, but I will have to wait til some of my skill set improves

Love this.

David Zimmerman replied:

Congratulations on your feature in the Fine Art America Group "Images That Excite You!"

David Zimmerman replied:

I love both versions too...have put them side by side in my favorites so I can study the brilliant changes you made in the second one. (but where did you hide your signature?)

David Zimmerman replied:

I don't get around to signing until I display/exhibit a work ( and deal with the possibility of it changing hands) Lazy? Indecisive? Unfinished? I work ion a rhythmic series where I paint 8 at a time, usuallly inscribing all at once, before final varnish. Signing AFTER varnishing is a floating signature, removable when cleaned in the future

WOWSA! Your one of a kind artwork has been spotlighted on the Art District home page. Congratulations! Please archive your work in the groups "Feature Archives & Thank You Thread"...Pamela
