The wood medium is a perfect addition to my prayer and meditation space! The blues are not the brilliant blues as they would be in a different medium, but this piece is humbling in its wood representation as befits the Cross of Christ. I look forward to more from this artist!

I m disappointed with this print. My wife insisted I go with the wood pallet. I did not realize this was a painting. It looks almost vague, impressionist style unless you stand back. Not sharp and clear as I had hoped. While it is still beautiful & it goes with the color of the wall, it blends too much, does not stand out if this was photo print instead. Do not take away from Gary's talent. He did an awesome job but it was not what I expected. Look forward to seeing more from him but I ran out of funds.

It is the perfect size and I really like the wood block presentation. My major complaint is that the icon itself was represented very faintly as to color. This is a vibrant icon, Our Lady of Perpetual Help- and as with all icons the colors are important - so this displeased me. It almost looked like a paint wash technique. It is a gift for a newly ordained priest who dedicated his priesthood to OL of PH, I seriously thought of returning it to you but was not sure what your reply would be and it is getting down to the wire of needing the gift. Thank you, Dr Joan DiGregorio Note : it is much lighter in color than your example above - the gift is already wrapped so it would be troublesome to open. Any help appreciated - jmd

Artist's Description

The Columbia River is the largest river in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.[9] The river rises in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. It flows northwest and then south into the US state of Washington, then turns west to form most of the border between Washington and the state of Oregon before emptying into the Pacific Ocean. The river is 1,243 miles (2,000 km) long, and its largest tributary is the Snake River. Its drainage basin is roughly the size of France and extends into seven U.S. states and a Canadian province. By volume, the Columbia is the fourth-largest river in the United States; it has the greatest flow of any North American river draining into the Pacific. The river's heavy flow and its relatively steep gradient gives it tremendous potential for the generation of electricity. The 14 hydroelectric dams on the Columbia's main stem and many more on its tributaries produce more hydroelectric power than those of any other North American river. The C...
