I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

This tote bag is gorgeous! I saw a picture of it and had to have it. The colors are just beautiful. The size is better than I expected, because it's larger than I had envisioned it. It is practical and functional as well as beautiful. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Originally known as the Marquette Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, Walter Bailey purchased it and renamed it for his wife, Loree and the song, "Sweet Lorraine". During the segregation era, Bailey operated the motel as upscale lodging that catered to a black clientele. He added a second floor, a swimming pool, and drive-up access for more rooms on the south side of the complex. He changed the name from Lorraine Hotel to Lorraine Motel. Among its guests included Ray Charles, Lionel Hampton, Aretha Franklin, Ethel Waters, Otis Redding, The Staple Singers, Wilson Pickett......and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This is the sign that still stands as an iconic part of the motel in which Dr. King last stayed, and also a part of the adjacent Civil Rights Museum complex.
