I have been following the research into the Shroud of Turin for the last 40 years. I was so happy that Ray Downing made a portrait based upon the Shroud. I was very struck by the beauty and sensitivity of the portrait. I have it hanging in my living room right where I can see it most often every day. I bought the portrait on wood and am very happy with it. Thank you, Mr. Downing, for bringing this to the attention of so many people.

Artist's Description
I created this as revision of another drawing I had done ( a second attempt at an idea). Drawn on bond paper and then cleaned up and coloured digitally(Photoshop) using textured brushes, and many layers of different textured graphics.
