I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

Taibhse is the Irish word for ghost and it is a fitting title for these glowing, ghost-like silhouette pieces. The paintings in this collection are of a style developed by and exclusive to this artist. Experimenting with several types of paint, including glass and porcelain paint, a textured, luminous and multifaceted background is achieved. The fascinating and beautiful shapes of trees in silhouette against a colorful sky make these original and unique pieces truly stunning! This is a painting of a currach - a type of boat that the fishermen of Ireland still use today. The word naomhog means beetle and the currach being carried aloft by the three men look similar to a beetle.
About Dina Sierra
I have been interested in art since Kindergarten. It was my favorite subject in school - receiving good grades, probably for effort! My "formal" instruction consists of 2 years of High School art classes. I discovered early on that drawing and painting are the best ways for me to display and describe myself and my emotions. I think I do my best work when I'm anxious or upset - kinda crazy? I love the outdoors, plants and animals of all kinds and all things Irish. I wasn't able to take a decent photograph until Mother's Day of this year(2005)when my husband bought a Kodak Easy Share 7950. I've been having a ball with it ever since! I love to draw, paint, sculpture, etc. and have been known to create artistic things from an array of ojects,...
