The National Railroad Passenger Corp dba Amtrak is coming from the west coast into Lincoln Nebraska after hitting a cow on the track. Notice some parts are on the front of the train and repairs were under-way so that the train can get back to completing its trip. Since a lot of the west is open range for cattle this does happen sometime. Amtrak is a portmanteau of the words America and Track.

Photography has been a lifelong interest of mine and now that I am retired, the free time has allowed me to devote more time and energy to viewing the world through my lens. Challenging myself to capture the beauty and contrast of nature through changing light, creating powerful images, is my passion.
