Description
This painting is a reproduction that I had to attempt, his name was Govert Flinck that was as student of Rembrandt. This man appeared to have so much Character in his face, from his amazing beard to the deep lines in his face carved by life. I enjoyed every minute of the time I spent on this Painting and have a great respect of our fore fathers that forged the way for us to be able to appreciate the unlimited word of Art.
I cut a board and sealed it with 8 coats of Gesso which will insure the board will last a life time. I also did an under painting then the flesh and last glazed the entire painting to bring it to life.
