Emile Vernon Biography
Émile Vernon was a student at the school of Tours Fine Arts and there received the first prize drawing in 1888. Then he studied William Bouguereau and Augustus Truphème at the School of Fine Arts of Paris. In 1898, he participated in the exhibition of fine arts and decorative arts in Tours and starts at Salon of French artists. There exhibited regularly until 1913, with particular portraits, landscapes and floral paintings.
He produced some murals like the theater of Chatellerault in 1899. He exceled in watercolor paintings of women and children in bright colors and bucolic settings, and is also knows to be more rigorous through the portrait of Madame Vernon, Under the lamp.
