Weekender Tote Bag Reviews (71)

Average Rating (5 Stars):

August 18th, 2018

The bag is lovely, great printing and sturdily made. BUT I gave it 4 stars because it would be so much better if the bag had pockets, or sections, so it could be more of a travel or beach bag, not just a big undivided tote. The quality is excellent, lets get more items that are "printable".

Gorgeous art on a practical bag. Thank you, my talented friend, for helping me add a bit of magic to the everyday! Just the grownup upgrade I needed from hauling my stuff around in my boring grocery tote bags.

Artist's Description

This art was direct influence from my visit to "Kantojir Mondir" -a 16th century temple in Dinajpur, Bangladesh. The temple made up of terracotta tiles. Every single one is different. They tell the story from Hindu epics and depicts the different events, lifestyle of contemporary (16th century) society, political economical conditions. Tiles also contains stories from Buddhism and flowers and motifs. I was really moved by the beauty and intensity above all its secular approach...it made me proud of my heritage... This art is truly the pieces of my heritage.

About Rabi Khan

Started drawing as a child of 5 years. I used to draw on sand and on soil from my imagination and observations. Later painted graffiti on wall as a teenager in Bangladesh. As a youth with high interest in arts and paintings, during school and college-going years, I also started making notebook sketches on subjects of my interest. In 1986 I joined the advertising company in Bangladesh called “Prochar” as a junior artist, and entered the world of professional artists. In 1992, I came to Canada and joined “Bangla Barta” (a Bengali community journal of art, literature & statecraft) as an Art Director. In order to pursue my career further, later on I joined College Inter-Dec in Montreal as a student in 1995. I graduated from the College...
