I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description
Manred Von Richtofen
May 2 1892 – April 21 1918
World War I was in full effect. By May 1915 Manfred Von Richtofen had grown tired of merely working cavalry reconnaissance and longed for air combat. Upon receiving orders to work an even less fulfilling job, on the supply lines, he petitioned for transfer to the Imperial German Army Air Service.
“I have not gone to war in order to collect cheese and eggs, but for another purpose”, he boldly wrote on his transfer application. To his surprise, it worked! Before long, Von Richtofen was a legend, respected even by the enemy.
Being an actual Baron, and having his Fokker DR1 triplane painted signal red, he was soon dubbed The red baron. Credited with 80 air combat victories, the “ace of aces” was finally brought down by a single bullet to the chest, mid- flight. Although he managed to land the plane, he quickly died in the company of British troops.

About Bryan Ubaghs
Bryan Ubaghs b.1967, is a third generation Seattle native who has been drawing and painting for most of his life. With a host of immediate and extended family having enjoyed careers at both Boeing and NASA, his passion for depicting the history of aviation and its courageous pioneers came naturally. Working in acrylics on canvas, his work pops with bold, bright colors and rugged outlines. “My work is a modern approach to Post-Impressionism with a healthy dose of whimsy”, he says of his unique take on the celebration of flight. Aside from his original creations, Ubaghs is happy to accept aviation-related, private commissions, rendered in his individual style.
