Nice Job. I think that you have to visit Brazil, I'm sure that you'll take incredible shots. You have an special point of view.

Madeline Ellis replied:

Beto, thanks so much. This happens to be one of my favorites. Interestingly, I have been thinking of visiting Brazil. If I go, any suggestions where?

Thanks to you all who took time to say such nice things about this photo. Not only has this photo sold, but it hangs on my wall as well.

Indeed it's the boy that makes the photo interesting - and of course the pose he is in. Apart from that the distribution of grey tones is very balanced with no part too dark or too bright... I especially like that sunny spot on the boy's trousers.

It has the feel and composition of a Cartier Bresson. Great photo.

Feel like i am right there in this photograph. Excellent ! Interesting perspective.

I love this black and white great shadows and comp...Perfect title, I love that poem too!!

We are extremely pleased! The artwork was exactly what we were looking for and the towel quality is superior. Great birthday gift for my son who couldn’t have been more excited upon opening the gift! This is my second time purchasing from you and I will continue to do so, as well as spread the word. Keep up the great work!!

Pen Sherwood's Amitors artwork goes anywhere with Diana Kisselburg's words! Many years ago, my uncle Thomas (Tom) Phillip Hufford asked me to come up with a word the opposite of predator. Amitor is that word. Ami: Fr. friend, Amigo: Sp. friend, Amity: Eng. harmony, Ami: Formosa, Taiwan. Giraffe: non predatory animal unless young attacked. Butterflies: live, love, laugh, hope. Survive, thrive and inspire others. Pen Sherwood offered to do this Amtor artwork for free sharing the copyright with me for my Amitor concept. Amitor Tom would be so proud. Diana Hays Kisselburg

Artist's Description

A boy walks down a street in Paris, France. It reminded me of Robert Frost's poem,The Road Less Traveled so I titled it that. It is an honor to have this photo win the French Citiscapes contest on FineArtAmerica. The photo was taken with a 35mm camera and I printed it in the darkroom.

About Madeline Ellis

I found that if I put my negatives in a thing called an enlarger a shadow would appear on photo paper. When I dropped that paper in some chemicals, a picture would emerge. Wow! I was hooked and so I studied at the International Center Of Photography. Now, I take a photo, plug my camera into my computer and the photo I just took pops up on my screen. Times have changed. I have had four one woman shows and one group show in Manhattan. It was an...
