Description
There is a story behind this rocking chair. The chair was given to me when my first child was born and lasted thru all 4 of my children and some of my grandchildren. It began with its maple finish and was painted different colors over time. A few years back I gave it to a friend for her new grandchild. A lot of rocking has gone on with this chair. The chair and its rocking helped to soothe those crying babies. Someone wrote a poem about it in a Poetry and Painting show.

Marlene, this was the painting that caught my eye in particular when I glimpsed your page earlier. You have made this chair alive with beautiful colours and magical atmosphere. In fact,I could not imagine a prettier or more inviting chair complete with such a delightful window setting. Gorgeous work! I'm happy to have found you! v/f
