The Shockwave was the first of three jet-powered American trucks. It is a Peterbilt semi and it currently holds the world record for a jet-powered full sized truck at 376 miles per hour. The truck has three Pratt & Whitney J34-48 jets, which allow it to complete a quarter mile in 6.63 seconds.
