I am so pleased and honored to be featured in "Exclusively Drawings and Paintings". My mother painted portraits for years and she would have been so proud of me to have achieved this feature! Much appreciated, Jim.

Not only well drawn but you have captured a truly kind nature in the eyes and smile. Beautiful!

My mother painted portraits....in oil. I didn't get that far....yet. Only pencil and a few watercolors. Thanks for your nice comment.

Your portraits are amazing! Compelling, so much life and expression! A treasure Nancy! Fl

I had two portrait teachers. One of them used to set up lights on the models so that we could see structures in the faces. Very wise and caring instruction.

Very nice work!! l/f/t

Many thanks, Theresa.

Such a beautiful and totally charming face, great portrait, Nancy! L&F&T, Christel.

Thanks so much for your comment, Wanda. I am always so pleased when my work receives a feature. It's the fun of FAA!

Really beautiful!! Very expressive and so well done!!Wonderful!! FV/L

I had some really nice classes in portrait drawing...two wonderful teachers who inspired us all to good work. Maybe I'll find another class soon for a recharge of my energies!!

I can see so many of my family members (me too) in this portrait which I just invented.

Very lovely beautiful energy and expressive portrait Nancy! Fl

Such a pleasing image. Love this.

A beautifully drawn portrait of a friendly face!

Thanks so much, Marcia. Now to go forward and do this in oils!!!! Ouch! I want to so much!

Marvelous drawing!! Beautifully done Nancy!! FV/L

This is half me and half my daughter perhaps. I don't wear earrings! Thanks for the thumbs up!

Lovely work Nancy!

Thank you so much Veikko for this kind comment!

Well done and the expression is fantastic......beautiful drawing Nancy.!! F/L.

The portraits I did (so few when I look back now) were such a joy for me. My mother did so many and I watched her paint them as a child. I hope to do some in oil or acrylic and your outstanding portraits are so inspirational to me!

Oh, this is so lovely Nancy...I can sense such relaxed nature of this person..so comfortable in her own skin...beautifully done! f/v

This is such a wonderful comment, Jolanta. There is a moment in art where a spirit seems to enter the paper or the canvas. I had a feeling about this particular drawing that some spark had emerged.

So expressive Nancy! a great portrait! fv

Thank you so much, Nikki. I always hoped to do one of these in oil or acrylic. This may be the year because my daughter wants me to paint one of her!

Splendid v.f.

Thank you so much, James. I just discovered your Pencil group and I jumped at the chance!! Thanks for featuring my art.

So lifelike, so much sweetness in her mature smile! : ) vf

Thank you, Byron. I've just been commissioned to do a daughter and her dog for a Father's Day gift. Hope I can achieve this level of intensity.

Thank you Anne. I visited you father's art over Easter. I get so lonely for my parents on all holidays. This helped so much. Your father was such a fine artist. I also grew up watching my mom paint and yet I didn't really try it until I was an adult. My mother did get to appreciate my early attempts and was very supportive. I know that my mother and your father would love the fact that we are artists and that we have found an audience. Happy spring to you!

Nancy, This is a wonderful portrait. She has a delightful smile and a twinkle in her eyes. You're such a talented artist! I enjoy visiting your site so much. There is so much to see that I plan to come back soon to view and comment more. Thanks dearly for your kind words of encouragement. Smiles, Anne F/V
