Description
The Snake Pit, established in 1880, is one of Idahos more unique restaurants. Located just off I-90 in Kingston, the former Enaville Resort has served as a bar, a hotel and a brothel all at some point in its history. The decor on the exterior is just a taste of what you will find on the inside encluding rustic wood furniture, a unique fireplace created with stones donated by locals and even a chair built completly of elk antlers. There is a lot of the history that has been preserved over the years The skull on the right near the top still has a red light on it. In the days when the building was a brothel, the red light would come on to let customers know it was open for business. Today, The Snake Pit continues to maintain its strange and famous reputation. for all visitors.
