About the Stein Barn This barn, circa 1850, was on the farm of Daleís great grandparents. Bernhard and Cassandra Overdorf Stein. It must have been a great place to live, with this bank barn, rich soil, a spacious brick house, a summer kitchen/wash house, smokehouse, and all the other out-buildings found on a prosperous farm of that era. It was located on Steinís Lane, a small unpaved road between Red Lion and the village of Springvale. Dale never knew either of his great grandparents. Cassandra was 103 when she died in 1922, only two years before Dale was born. The farm was within walking distance of our first home in Red Lion and we still have a painting of the farmhouse that Dale did in the 50Ďs. Sadly, all the buildings were demolished in the 60ís or 70ís. T;m going to use ty on my Chrictmsd caed

Very, very nice painting, Dale ! Regards, Juergen
