This piece was inspired by one of my dearest friends , who tells the most delightful 'stories'. I have depicted her as the caterpillar from "Alice", and her sweet grandchild as Alice . Here is her poem!
My story lady invites you,
To come and sit awhile,
Her sparkling eyes an indication,
Of the nature behind her smile.
Her voice resonates in your ears,
Deep, clear, and strong,
Like the rythmic instruments,
In your favorite song.
She takes you to places you've never been,
Or places you've yet to go,
She gives such wise guidence,
In the things you ought to know.
She weaves her tales with humorous wit,
And wise observation,
As she takes you on a journey,
A wonderous vacation.
You'll laugh at her tales of folly,
And delight in her description,
Of places she's been and those she's known,
So marvelous her rendition!
