As one gets out away from the city, there is a simpler way of life to be found. In this painting, I think of country living as a sweeter form of life that harkens back to a day where a worn gravel road might lead through a covered bridge, to an old country church, and rural farmlands. It's the sweet taste of nostalgia, simplicity, and fresh air.
